Hi, I’m Charlotte.

I was born in Hong Kong and raised in Taipei. I graduated from Brown University with a B.A. in Computer Science and East Asian Studies. I care about technology, culture, and writing. I am idealistic (naive). I also like to read. I read and loved Martin and Meditations on the South Valley by Jimmy Santiago Baca; Stories of the Sahara by San Mao; East of Eden by John Steinbeck; A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara. Fyodor Dostevsky, Arundhati Roy, Zora Neale Hurston, these writers made me think about what “God” means. Sometimes when brave I consider myself a writer. Although I cannot promise that the writing is any good, I can promise it is my own. I work on the world’s largest secure email service. I believe the internet and world would be a better place if we had more more privacy and freedom. I have lived in various cities in Asia, Providence, New York, and now London.
